GRiM – yes, his real initials or Rusty- of DividingME Photography of Greensboro, North Carolina, grew up in Germany and Iceland, where he was surrounded by Romanesque and Gothic architecture that helped to inspire his appreciation for all things dark. The 9 darkish yet very beautiful glamour images here clearly reflect this early influence.
In each of these images, we see GRiM break various conventions. He steps away from the mundane and the usual with wondrously unexpected twists which only serve to allow us to view the deeper beauties within.
Rusty has many literary influences such as J. R. R. Tolkien, Neil Gaiman & H.P. Lovecraft.
With a self-described organic approach to photography, GRiM’s method is to always attempt to capture a mood over a concept. He chooses to follow what he feels is right over what perhaps one might perceive should be or is supposed to be done.
On the creative spark driving him, which are said best in his own words:
“I’m drawn to the moment when two artists connect, one giving the moment and the other catching it, and the resulting magic. I’m a deep person; and, I hope that bleeds into my imagery.”

The peasants call her the goddess of gloom, she speaks good english as she invites you up into her room, and you're so kind and careful not to go to her too soon, and then she takes your voice and leaves you howling at the moon... Valeria Mae GRiM 2010
