Pinup using the Nikon 18-200mm VRII F3.5-5.6 DX and Nikon D7000 DSLR Body

The 18-200mm VRII F3.5-5.6 AF-S DX can make an excellent in studio pin-up lens.

This image is plenty sharp.

As mentioned, the newer 18-200mm VRII F3.5-5.6 AF-S DX is identical in optical performance to its predecessor, the   18-200mm VR f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S DX.

My 18-200 VR had zoom creep, so I switched to the VR2, which my copy did not have the lens creep …  In performance, both lenses are excellent when used at F/8 to F/16.

These studio shots of Laurel Rae with the Boa and Apple were taken at F/13 on a Nikon D7000 body.
