The Mammoth Book of New Erotic Photography” at almost 450 pages, this 7.5 inch by 5.5 inch by 1.1 inch, is almost two pounds of beautiful erotic photos representing Maxim Jakubowski’s third and best efforts yet with her Mammoth Erotic Photography Series.

The similarly titled first two books in the series are:

Confused yet?

Well, “The Mammoth Book of New Erotic Photography” is the third and best of these three volumes.

Of the three, I recommend the second and this third efforts for inclusion into those libraries desiring a tomb of this size of erotic photos.

If I only had to choose one, I would pick this one.

They are currently available from Amazon for about $12-13.

Used cost more, go figure…

People must not be letting go of their copies.

The quality of images and photography in this volume are superb, cover to cover excellent.

This is definitely a book of photos.  The few words in this volume, like its two earlier sisters, are limited to brief bios of the individual photographers.

What speak here are the photos themselves.

Those squeamish about the erotic and fetish photography may steer well clear of this volume.  Those open to broad stroke examples of fine erotic, fetish and art nude photography may be well pleased.

Let me be a bit more specific, there is quite a bit of color and black and white erotica and art nude photos here.

The fetish is somewhat limited to the genres of bondage with a bit of vinyl and plastic thrown in for flavor.   All shots are artistically and technically superb in their executions.

Styles are varied as there are works of over 70 leading photographers from around the world represented.

Some names of photographers you recognize may include Eric Kroll, Craig Morey or Peter Gorman.

One of my many favorite images is a sublime submission by Elisa Laso DeValdez.

On page 214 is Elisa’s capture … a lovely nude.   A pale skinned red-headed woman, covered only by a highly textured shimmering lime chiffon gauze, simply beautiful.

I recommend “The Mammoth Book of New Erotic Photography” to any lover of photo books of erotic images of beautiful women well photographed.

Thanks for prompting me to revisit this book. I found it a bit hit and miss, with a few too many of the the B&W art-nudes that I find a bit dull, but plenty to make up for it – particularly liked Ben Fernon. Interesting to see lots of new Russian photographers, too. Chas Ray Krider’s cover shot is probably my favourite, though!
